PUPPIES!!!!

Sin delivered her puppies on 5/19/12.  E was so excited to go and visit them.  He had a very hard time controlling himself.  These puppies are going to be bomb proof or at least kid proof, by the time they are 7 weeks old and go to their forever homes.

"I wanted to bring a bird home"

Hi All, this is Elliott-Mom is letting me write todays blog post.

Mom has been taking me to new parks when we get a chance.  Today we went to Lochness Park in Blaine.  There wasn't a playground there, but there was a lot of "nature stuff" to look at.  Here are some pictures of the things that we saw today....

This is the first cool thing that I saw, I think that it was a woodchuck.  Mom wasn't able to get a very close up picture.  She said that she needs a better lens for her camera.

I looked in the lake for some fishes.  I saw some little fishes, mom said that they were minnows.  Someone left cheese balls on the dock, so I threw them in too.

I found a big stick in the middle of the path, I used my big muscles and threw it into the lake.

This is a creek that flows into the lake.  It was pretty cool.

 This is a boy duck.

I was able to climb down a little hill and go down to the lake to touch the water.  Mom kept asking if it was "chilly" I told her, " it wasn't chilly, it was cold."

Part of the trail was wet.  Mom let me ride my bike through the water.  It was AWESOME!

I needed a drink of water to get my energy back!

This is how my pants looked after I biked through the water.

I biked the .90 mile trail loop and also the .77 mile trail loop.

Before we got back to the car, we went back onto the dock to see if there was anything else to see in the water and mom pointed out this baby turtle.  I was kind of sad that it swam away very quickly.

I had a GREAT time at the new park biking and walking with mom.

Playing at the Park

Today was the first day in a week or so, that it was nice outside and we REALLY needed to get outside to play.

E and I had an awesome time at Central Park.  I continue to be in awe of how kids play together at a playground.  One kid sees another kid playing and they are like ants on sugar.  They all run around together like they have been friends forever.  If one of the kids wants to play something different, they just find another friend to play with and no feelings get hurt.
They are also willing to share anything that they have brought with them to the park, their water, their mom, etc.

Oh, the joys to be in the 3-5 year old age group.  Don't get me wrong, I am under no delusion that this scenario will continue as E grows up.  I know that kids can be cruel, but I will enjoy this moment as long as I can!

Happy Easter in a Good Friday World

Happy Belated Easter... Sorry, I have been delayed in posting this.

Our pastor's sermon on Easter Sunday was a good one.  Some Sunday's I have a hard time paying attention to the sermon because E is causing some kind of chaos that I am trying to control.  Easter Sunday, E was on his best behavior, so I could really pay attention.

The Pastor had a Caribou cup and that immediately caught my attention.  He spoke about how on Good Friday, the barista had wished him a "Good, Good Friday."  This is an odd comment to make.  Good Friday is when Jesus died on the cross for us.  This was a day of pain, torture and suffering for Jesus-not a good day for him.

The Pastor then told the rest of the Easter story, Jesus was placed in the tomb, the stone was rolled away and Jesus was no longer there.  He rose from the dead to save us from our sins, so that we would have eternal life with him.  This was a GREAT day for all of us.

We live in a Good Friday world, were bad things happen to people all the time.  We need to remember the Easter story though and that God gave his only son to die for us, so that we may have eternal life!  We need to remember this as we go about our days, this is not our forever home and life here is temporary and we should remember to have hope and joy, because Jesus died on the cross for us.

He has RISEN!  He has RISEN INDEED!

Kick Buttowski

E's favorite show on tv right now is Kick Buttowski.  When I first heard the name of this show, I wasn't sure if I liked the sound of it.  It's on Disney XD, so it shouldn't be too bad right?  But Disney does make mistakes every now and then.  Don't get me wrong, I love everything Disney, but really-Kick Buttowski?  E started watching the show with Joe one day-yes, I am throwing his dad under the bus here.

Kick Buttowski is about a boy who is like Evil Knievel.  He is a risk taker who does lots of crazy stunts with his sidekick Gunther.  E is now starting to take after Kick.  He really wants a skateboard just like Kick has.  I am not ready to get him a skateboard yet, but he still finds a way to be like Kick.

E had a great time being Kick and the show is actually pretty cute too!

We are experiencing an unseasonably warm March.  We are going to hit some records this week-it may even reach 80 before St. Patrick's day!  We are LOVING this weather.  E is LOVING being outdoors, he spends from the time we get home, until the time we go to bed outside.

He has gotten a lot of use out of his bug vacuum already.  I guess there is one positive about all of the stupid box elder bugs that are flying around.  There are a lot of bugs to suck up.

Checking out his specimens

The Collection!
I am so excited for this spring and summer, we are going to have a great time exploring the outdoors, riding bikes and collecting more bugs.
